We are up and running for 2019 so looking forward to seeing you at the club in the coming weeks !

Wednesday Evenings – From this week we will be starting Wednesday evening Sailing – Rescue will be on the water for 6.30 and we will get a couple of hours sailing – Our Race Officer – Joe Crilly - will be there to get racing underway

Sunday Toasties – For the next 4 week we will endeavour to have some help for the new sailors to get their boats rigged and on the water – that is not to rig their boats but to ensure that they know how themselves. We will have toasties and hot chocolate for the juniors after sailing. We will also have Sunday Racing which is a great opportunity to get practice in for future events and more importantly a lot of fun.

Club Regatta – Sunday 23rd June – an afternoon of sailing followed by a BBQ for our members – Last year our Club regatta was one of our busiest days on the water so hoping that we will have the same this year – That is what it is all about – and the BBQ of course!

Blessington Triathlon – Sunday 30th June – our biggest hosting event of the year and our biggest Fundraiser. However also our biggest single day demand on our volunteering membership – we will need up to 35 people on the day – all ages needed and welcome – there will be a job for everyone – please keep it in mind and let the Commodore know if you are available – for this event we work closely with Belpark Running Club and Kildare Water Safety so it is a huge effort but a great day..

Training Update and Plans
  • Adult training Course 1 is underway and being enjoyed by Instructors and ‘Instructees’ alike. We will organise a second course later in June and through July – likely to coincide with the Junior Training. If you are interested, contact the Commodore.
  • Power Boat Training – All places for 25/26 May now full, we will be organising further Level 1 /2  and Level 3 Courses later in the summer so please let me know if you are interested – those that have recently completed their training – be sure to get some hours in to get your certificate!
  • Junior Training – bookings are rolling in so please don’t leave it too long to book places – that way you won’t be disappointed! All details available on the Website or please feel free to drop me a note if any questions

Sailing Events

·       Mirror Inlands are being held in the Club Sat and Sun 20 & 21 July
·
RS Inlands are being held at the Club 27 & 28 July
·
Both events will require help on shore and rescue duties – hoping that the RS sailors turn up in force to volunteer for the Mirror event and vice versa!! But we will need more than that
